Intro

Welcome to the metadata dictionary for the IsoArcH database. This document provides definitions, usage conditions, and allowed values for each of the fields available in the database.

The IsoArcH database is structured around three key entities: sources, samples, and measurements, with additional secondary entities that revolve around these core components. Each of these entities is characterized by a set of associated metadata. The relationships between the entities are illustrated the figure below.

To navigate the data model of the IsoArcH database, you can access the metadata via the left-hand column. Metadata are organized alphabetically under the "All Fields" tab, or by view as presented in the data entry form under the "Section" tab.
